NOTE:
This building can be configured a number of different ways and used for numerous purposes. As built for our customer, this is a barndominium with a breezeway leading to an additional living space for a parent.
All parts of this building can be resized, reconfigured or changed according to what you need. The additional room could easily be made into an attached garage, or we could add another section that would be a garage and keep the separate living space. You could turn the larger portion into a shop and have a small apartment attached via the breezeway. Use your imagination! When we design a building to be used as either living space or a commercial building we typically upgrade the frame and exterior sheeting to a thicker gauge steel like this one was. Also, we typically just add frame outs for doors and windows and the customer will have their own installed.
As constructed, here's the dimensions:
Under Roof 40x100 (not including the two patios) * That's 40'x60' main living space. A 20'x40'x12 open breezeway leading to a 20'x40' additional living space.
This building has a 4:12 roof pitch, upgraded thicker steel frame and upgraded thicker steel sheeting, a 3'x3' cupola, a 24'x10 front patio cover, an 8'x12' back patio cover, and 24 various frame outs for customer provided windows and doors.
